About to start the intricate pattern work characteristic of Sanquhar I thought it best to check the pattern thoroughly and set about creating a chart in Excel. The Jamieson and Smith lace yarn is so difficult to unpick if you make a mistake and errors really need to be avoided at all costs.
Having gone to the trouble of creating the pattern chart it won’t be too difficult now to tidy it up and perhaps begin to design more personalised Sanquhar patterns.
